 Tax Credits:

Schedule 1299D of the Illinois Department of Revenue income tax forms lists a number of tax credits which may be available for a particular business.  Of particular note may be the EDGE tax credit and, in particular for technology companies the research and development credit.

If your business or building is located in a TIF (tax increment financing) district there may be certain financial benefits available for your property for business.  Check with your local municipality to determine if your property is in fact in a TIF district.
